EFE media and the lawyer of Barrientos concede that his December 1, 2023 departure from Florida, and the United States, counts not as an extradition, but actually as a deportation, as Barrientos lost his documented immigration status and thus was now in the United States illegally. The deportation title was conceded even even when he returned to Chile today.
